Cooper's two week ban stands after appeal

Wallaby playmaker Quade Cooper has lost his appeal against a two-match suspension for a dangerous tackle.

Cooper spear tackled Springbok pivot Morne Steyn in Australia's 30-13 win in Brisbane during their TriNations opener.

A review panel rjected Cooper's appeal after a five-hour meeting in which the SANZAR judicial committee upheld Cooper's ban

The ban wll keep Cooper out of the next two TriNations clashes both of which are against the All Blacks.

The Wallabies have already named Matt Giteau at flyhalf and Berrick Barnes at inside center where Giteau played last weekend.
