2008

The Springboks arrived in Wellington as World Champions. First up they faced the All Blacks who had a point to prove after the disapointments of the 2007 Rugby World cup.

2007

As it's a World cup year and there is enough rugby going round, the expanded Tri-nations falls away and we reverted back to the old format of teams playing each other twice.

2006

South Africa's Rugby program is called Boots and All and HERE they analyse the AB's Australia match where Rocky Elsom was did some naughty stuff. - Then HERE a newscaster chats about the Test between the AB and the Wallabies (not a one eyed report at all - rolls eyes) -Lastly HERE we have some highlights of the last match of the 2006 TriNations where the All Blacks unbeaten run came to an end. The commentator is clearly not a local South African. A clip of the Biggest HITS if the 2006 Season is HERE.

 

2005

The All Blacks were starting to gather some momentum after beating the British & Irish Lions so some fans decided to make an All Black tribute video and HERE it is. Habana scored two pretty good tries against Australia and here they are. Try 1 HERE and Try 2 HERE.

 

2004

South Africa had to win in Durban to take the TriNations and a budding South African "Oscar winner" decided to film his mates watching the match in a Cape Town pub. This wouldnt normally get included but hey we couldn't find any other stuff from 2004. Watch it HERE At least the beer was cheap.

 

2003

World Cup year and the TriNations saw South Africa get hammered at Loftus Versfeld. We found a clip of Claire Johnson singing both of the anthems - HERE - but luckily for the South Africans (it was painful) no match clips.

 

2002

Sadly we haven't found anything on the web yet from 2002. Even South Africa's ref tackling errrr "hero" Piet van Zyl did not want to be found - Did you find anything ?

 

2001

Australia warmed up for the Tri-Nations tour with a visit from the British & Irish Lions. They were the World Champions and players like Toutai Kefu were sealing victories with last minute tries - like this one HERE.

 

2000

1999

1998

We found two videos from 1998. One is a highlights type package showing a little from most of the matches (HERE) and the other has a few moments from the SA vs NZ match - HERE Remember Winfield rugby ?Have you found any more ?

 

1997

South Africa warmed up for their 1997 Tri Nations tournament with a British & Irish Lions series where they won the last match but lost the series. Sadly we haven't found anything on the web yet from 1997. Did you ?

 

 

1996

The first ever Tri-Nations tournament and was won by New Zealand. The oldest thing we found on the web was a copy of a promo video from South Africa for the TriNations - HERE
